Windows Autorun trouble

Windows allows all the drives to use the 'autorun' option. Although it makes our lives simple, since we don't have to go and start the application in the drive... it has also helped a different section of the community... those who use this feature to play with our PCs.
And this is the reason these days we come across a different set of viruses which spread from pen-drives.
Possible solution to protect your PC from such viruses is to keep the autorun feature off. You can do the following to set the autorun feature 'off' for all the drives on your computer.
[Note: this is for users of Windows XP professional Service Pack 2.
I don't know if it works on other OS, as I use only Win XP, SP2]

Step 1. Open 'Run' in the start menu.
Step 2. Type 'gpedit.msc' and press Ok. 'Group Policy' opens.
Step 3. Double click on 'Computer Configuration'
Step 4. Double click on 'Administrative Templates'
Step 5. Double click on 'System'
Step 6. Double click on 'Turn off autoplay'
Step 7. In the 'Settings' tab, select the radio button along 'Enable'. And select 'All drives' in the drop down list - 'Turn off Autoplay on: '
Step 8. Press OK.
Step 9. Close the 'Group Policy' window.

You are done.
